Ceccato/Babin/Golinski channel the spirits of the jazz trio in an unfolding set of extended improvisations that are both focused and free. Both titles , “Grit” and “Starch,” are completely spontaneous and the natural complicity between the three performers is apparent across remarkably varied textures that are illuminated by the intimate recording style of “Tor”.
