This synthesis of musical magic was curated by drummer Zachary “Zell” Morris. None of the players had ever chanced to play together until they met at the studio in Emeryville for this date. The music crosses over landscapes of alliterative melody rich in the traditions of jazz and blues while keeping to the spontaneous inspired by the aesthetics of freejazz and creative improvisation.
