KELLARI TRIO (Cellar Trio) was born in Teppo Hauta-aho’s cellar. Long time musical partners Teppo & Mike (Heikki) invited Mikko to a recording session – in the cellar – and the music clicked immediately. Besides a few written melodies, the tunes were created spontaneously with just a few outlines and intrument choices. This recording captures the freshness born out of discovering new musical avenues and responding to ideas through intense LISTENING. A couple of Heikki’s tunes utilize overdubs – recorded immediately, like three “soundpainters” adding new brush strokes to a shared colorful canvas.
