Bassist/composer Bill Noertker has long been interested in interactions between visual art and music. In early 2024 he was on hiatus from composing and was instead painting watercolors when he received a handwritten letter (via snail mail!) from artist Lily Loomis. He was entranced by her oneiric paintings and after a night of curious dreams, he began writing the music that was to become Dream Suite. He and his principal collaborator, Annelise Zamula, are joined by newcomer Eli Knowles on drums in a spacious trio setting that blends trance and whimsy and highlights their poignant and inventive interactions.

In 2001, Bill Noertker formed Noertker’s Moxie as a vehicle for his art-inspired compositions. Since then, he has composed over 200 pieces of music and has released twenty albums on the Edgetone Records label, including five extended suites: Sketches of Catalonia; The Blue Rider; The Druidh; Tricycle; and In Billville.
